What I actually did over the past two hours:

I discovered that when a fluorescent tube falls over onto a linoleum floor, it shatters into a zillion itty bitty pieces. Further, some of the pieces are capable of making 180 degree turns, levitating nearly a meter into the air, and teleporting through walls. Wiping down my entire kitchen, by hand, with damp paper towels, is not my idea of fun.
