Injury report: day 66
Nov. 4th, 2005 10:46 amI am now just wearing shoes. No more cast, no more walking boot. I do have a wedge in my shoe. It is in three tear-off layers, and I'm supposed to tear off one layer every two weeks. My next appointment is in early January, and should be just a followup. My ankle is still swollen, though I think it is going down somewhat. The doctor says that the swelling sometimes lingers for months.
Since the last update:
* I've stopped using crutches (day 54). I have my hands back!
* I started taking showers again (day 56). Being able to quickly get clean in the morning rocks.
* I started walking the dog again (started day 58, dismissed the dogwalker on day 64). Walking engenders walking -- so walking the dog is more therapy.
