I know grappa is this Italian liqueur that tastes like licorice and, to my mouth, nasty.
According to wikipedia, however, Torrone is a yummy sweet. You may bring some Torrone with you when you visit me in a few days! 8^)
ps. I've been learning how to cook Thai over the holidays. Be prepared to sample lots of home-cooked Thai food and say complimentary things.

Grappa
isn't licorice flavored. Maybe you're thinking of Galliano? (Admittedly, I've heard of people not liking the flavor of grappa, but there's no anise in it to dislike.)
I'm not sure if the block of torrone I have will survive that long.
