If you can find Dogfish Head Brewery's 120 Minute IPA in your area*, do so. It is wonderful. Despite being 21% alcohol, it has none of the hot alcohol flavor I associate with barleywines or other high-alcohol beers. Instead, it has an almost thick round body, with a good balance of malt and hops, leaning toward slightly sweet, and a long aftertaste. It is difficult to drink this beer quickly: it took me over an hour to drink a single pint, and was worth every sip. The 120 Minute IPA webpage says "This beer AGES WELL", which I believe. It has many of the same characteristics (sweet, thick, round) as other beers that age well, such as Thomas Hardy's Ale and Samuel Adams Triple Bock (flash site, Triple Bock is under "Extreme Beers"); however, 120 Minute IPA is far more drinkable straight from the brewery than either Thomas Hardy's Ale or Samuel Adams Triple Bock.

* I found 120 Minute IPA on tap in Boston, MA at Sunset Grill (warning: flash site; non-flash basic info)

I'll add that to the list of "Things to do after giving birth."

I stopped in the local beer store today, and asked about it. I was actually several days late in being able to buy some. He is going to put a request into the distributor for it, but it is hard to come by. He continued to say that it was around $9 for a bottle. If he does get some, he is going to hold a few aside for me (it will be atleast 2 weeks).

Having said that, I picked up a 4-pack of the 90-min (for $9.99). I might be having some later.
