It's a hand-held cutter, maybe the length of a pencil, with a small wheel on one end and a metal ball on the other. If that sounds like what you were thinking of, it's yours.

1/2 cup measure, assuming it's clean for food use (ie you haven't been mixing noxious chemicals in it or something), sure, I'll take that. Uh, I'll give you a book about diners for it on Friday?

It's food-safe. I found it in a flour container when I emptied it. Trading cup for book sounds good.
